Three of his recent cases include:
- Attorney Daspit represented a pipeline company seeking upwards of $50 million in damages for a defective ERW pipe used in constructing a 455-mile oil pipeline. The Daspit Law Firm recovered $20.2 million (including $4.362 million in attorneys’ fees) one week before trial.
- Attorney Daspit represented an exploration and production company in an arbitration regarding how a contractual area of mutual interest (AMI) provision should be interpreted. The other side wanted property interests conveyed, or damages valued at $330 million, for an alleged failure to convey property interests. The arbitration lasted a week and resulted in a total victory for Attorney Daspit's client, including recovery of fees and expenses. Attorneys’ fees and additional costs were $2.136 million.
- Attorney Daspit was an integral part of the trial team during the case involving the 2005 BP Texas City Refinery explosion. He logged nearly 8,000 hours in preparing and litigating for this case.
